Dragon Power Station

An interesting power application that would employ overhead road traffic to hydraulically power a generator.

To the people thumbing this down because the energy is "stolen" from the passing vehicles - seriously? Have you thought this through? You lose much more energy when you're forced to brake and accelerate over a speed bump. It needn't be any worse than a smooth dip in the road to work. And just one station is expected to power 1750 homes - homes that wouldn't be powered by, say, coal. Give a little, get a lot. It's not like people are going to stop driving in mass quantities any time soon.

Think of the zillions of places where energy -needs- to be stolen anyway, to be expended as useless brake heat - steep hills, toll gates, stop signs. Why not put a fraction of that into this instead.
